Corporate Partnerships – Next Level
In depth support to help you build long-term results
Up to six months of regular one to one Bright Spot support to help you build valuable, strategic, and charity and corporate partnerships. Regular support from a Bright Spot corporate partnerships expert will help your charity do partnerships differently.
Growing partnerships income is far from easy
In fundraising training and coaching charities in fundraising across more than 17 years, we’ve found that charities often highlight Corporate Partnerships as an opportunity for growth, but then struggle to make much progress. Do any of these sound familiar?
You’ve been working hard but not getting great corporate fundraising results.
Often people don’t have experience of what’s possible, or a blueprint to get there, so it’s really hard to do what it takes to make valuable partnerships happen. But without these actions it’s very hard to win.
The charity’s senior team are sceptical.
If your colleagues don’t have experience of strategic charity partnerships, its likely they raise objections which seem reasonable and are not easy for you to answer. Senior colleagues are often unaware that they are part of the solution.
Service delivery, policy, PR teams etc don’t see the point.
Various important teams are often unaware of the huge benefits that corporate partnerships can bring to the charity, so are rarely vested in doing what it takes to make them happen.
External meetings, pitches and requests for donations are often unsuccessful.
You’ve worked hard but so far your return is not in line with all the time and effort you’ve put in.

‘We had a huge pitch with a retailer worth up to £1m and the training totally changed how I thought about delivering my part. I weaved in stories I’d heard first hand, making it more powerful and my boss said I came across more natural. And we won! ‘
Christie Hyland, Business Development Manager, Age UK
Up to one day a week with the team over a four to six month period.
Delivering:
Training days. These bespoke sessions help the whole team and colleagues from other teams make progress on the essential skills and techniques to win and grow partnerships. Modules include: pipeline progress, getting meetings, influencing skills, storytelling, pitching, building strategic partnerships and writing to influence.
Internal high value partnership workshops and 1:1 meetings. These bring together the crucial teams and leaders needed to help win and grow valuable partnerships for your organisation. Presenting the pipeline and strategy to Senior Leadership Team and Trustees to gain buy-in. To help build an internal culture that supports the strategy and overcomes the internal barriers that would otherwise hamper progress.
External negotiation support when the stakes are high. When that pitch, presentation, meeting or negotiation really matters we’ll be on hand and if need be, attend, to help you win the partnership. We’ll also help you find the most valuable parts of your charity’s work to develop a pipeline and set of propositions most likely to attract the right corporate partners.
Regular coaching with key people. Individual coaching support to help you build expertise, confidence and fundraising momentum; helping junior members of the team with their focus, tactics and confidence to take action; helping managers find time to lead, rather than spend most of their time delivering tactics.
Succession support using Bright Spot’s unique training methods, Bright Spot Members Club, and bespoke help to give your colleagues the confidence to step up and take action. Together with the team, build a strategy, plan, and set of principles to secure long term partnerships.
Key milestones to show progress across the 4-6 months.
The support will generate these results:

Increased confidence, skill and proactivity in your corporate fundraising team
